The Henry County Band Program includes Marching Band, Concert Band, Percussion Ensemble, Jazz Band, Pep Band & Colorguard. The Marching Patriot's season runs from summer through mid-November. They perform at football games, parades and field competitions. Concert Band and other ensembles begin immediately after the completion of the marching season and continue through May.
The philosophy of the Henry County Instrumental Music Department is to inspire and require Diligence, Discipline and Dedication from every student involved in the program. The rewards of this approach are positive, self-motivated and confident students that gain the skills needed to be successful in life. The primary objective of the Henry County High School Band Program is to develop the performance, rehearsal and personal practice skills of each member. Membership requires a good work ethic resulting in consistent progress and the development of goals that achieve personal success.
The Henry County High School Band Program is a serious commitment. As a co-curricular activity, all rehearsals, performances and functions are mandatory for members. Details on each commitment are communicated in advance to aid in scheduling and eliminate conflicts.
